Abstract
Interest in the atmospheric plasma created by dielectric barrier discharges (DBD) for flow control is high because the design of a DBD is straightforward to implement. Researchers have demonstrated that the plasma generated through the discharge energizes and imparts momentum to the flow, which can prevent separation or bring about reattachment. DBD actuators generally have no moving parts, may be flush-mounted onto the wing, and operate at high frequencies with a low power requirement [1–9].
