Formulation of Boundary Integral Equations for Linear Elastic Shells

Abstract
The use of the boundary integral technique is extended to cylindrical shells through the thickness shear using the Somigliana's approach. Orthotropic material is also considered. The use of the Green functional approach with its major disadvantage, is shown.
