Comparison of NOAA’s CLAP Measurements to Aerosol Absorption from Number Concentration

Abstract
In this paper we describe AFIT CDE’s initial testing of the NOAA CLAP instrument as it prepares to join the NOAA FAN. Results suggest aerosol absorption can be fairly accurately deduced from particle number concentrations.
