Abstract
Autonomous battle management requires the synthesis of optimal strategies which also consider the adversary’s capabilities. This paper takes a step in this general direction by considering a scenario in the Beyond Visual Range domain where two teams face each other in a representative type of mission. A team of autonomous vehicles tries to launch an attack on the opponent’s valuable asset. A team of air interceptors recognizes the threat and responds by impeding access to the protected asset. A zero-sum differential game is formulated between these two adversaries and saddle-point state-feedback strategies are obtained in this paper which provide the optimal guidance for each vehicle.
