Abstract
The purpose of this study was to enhance the capability of PCRSM, a personal computer based decisions support system, to perform response surface methodology. PCRSM was enhanced to allow the printing of graphical displays such as residual plots and to provide the capability to decode the regression equation back to the original variables. Reverse documentation of the prototype was also developed to describe the interfacing of the individual executable modules and development environment. Response surface methodology is a group of statistical tools used to analyze the relationships between predictors (input variables) and responses (output variables).
